BP-RD is a synthetic layered silicate. It is insoluble in water but it can hydrates with water and swells to give clear and colorless colloidal dispersion. At concentrations of 2% or more in water, the highly thixotropic gels can be produced.
2. Application
For aqueous formulations, it develops a sensitive colloidal structure which thinning viscosity after shearing, includes home care, industrial surface coating, cleaning, ceramic glaze, agricultural chemicals, oil fields, and horticultural products.
