HECTEGEL Series production is a synthetic layered silicate incoporating an inorganic poly phosphate peptiser. It hydrates and swells in warer to give clear and colourless colloidal dispersions of low viscosity known as sols. At  concentration of 2% or more in water, the highly thixotropic gels can be produced. On addition of small quantities of ecectrolyte highy thixotropic gels are formed rapidly.
