BP-500A-V2 is an organoclay for solvent-based systems of low to medium polarity. It has high effect in all-oil and invert muds, fracture and workover fluids.
ADVANTAGES
☆ High gelling efficiency over low to medium polarity organic liquids.
☆ Easy of incorporation. Require no external chemical activator.
☆ Stable viscosity development.
☆ No harm to the environment.
☆ Easy to disperse.
☆ Compared with conventional organoclay gellants, typically 25% - 50% less BP-500A-V2 is needed to develop a given yield depending on base fluid.
☆ Improves mud plant throughput.
☆ Offers fast well-site mud incorporation and yield.
☆ Generates high Brookfield viscosities.
INCORPORATIONS
BP-500A-V2 doesn’t need polar activator or making pregel.In preparing of oil based drilling fluid, the presence of small amounts of water ( 0.1 -0.2% of the total volume) contribute to the ideal effect of organoclay. Sufficient stirring force is required to allow BP-500A-V2 drilling fluids well dispersed and achieves the desired viscosity.
RECOMMENDED LEVELS
During preparing drilling fluid, the addition of BP-500A-V2 is controlled within 25 -30kg/m3 .It can also be adjusted according to actual needs. Different base solution volume requires different dosage. Generally the required dosage of low aromatic hydrocarbon mineral oil concentration is slightly higher than diesel system.

SHELF LIFE
