BP-183-B9 is an organic clay modified by organic ammonium salt, which has outstanding high temperature resistance, stripping, suspension and pulping properties in oil-based mud. It is generally used as tackifier, filtrate reduce agent, and stuck release agent.
BP-183-B9 has high gelling efficiency, good dispersibility and stable viscosity, and is suitable for various drilling fluid systems such as diesel oil, mineral oil, synthetic oil and modified vegetable oil. There is no need to add chemical activator during using. BP-183-B9 also has the characteristics of good adaptability to low and high temperatures.

☆ Used to gel oil drilling fluids for long-term suspension of weighting agents in drilling and packer fluids.

INCORPORATIONS
When making the oil based drilling fluids, adding a small stream of water（0.1-0.5%）will be much helpful to get ideal effect.It needs enough shearing to be well dispersed, to get the required viscosity.
RECOMMENDED LEVELS
Add 25-40kg/m3 of BP-183-B9 to make water in oil drilling fluids, or adjust the quantity based on real situation.Normally the consumption of BP-183-B9 in mineral oil-based, synthetic oil-based and modified vegetable oil- based drilling fluids will be higher than diesel-based drilling fluids.
